Tony (Bill Hutchens) and Kacy (Josephine Scandi) are two aged hippies who discover a recent picture of long lost orgy partner Joe (Brutius Selby). Intruiged as to why their friend does not seem to have aged a day, the two embark on a journey to find him in which they cross paths with a dodgy black metal band, hermetic luchador and a man affectionately known as 'Bear Raper'.
Eventually Joe is reunited with the couple and reveals he is in fact immortal. Through years of existence he has grown weary and entreat his friends to assist him in taking his own life.
Part road movie, part horror comedy. The performances are exaggerated in a way that lends itself to the film's surreal humour. Tony is infantile and doddery next to Scandi's stoner Queen Kacy. Both have an endearing quality that reflects the viewers confusion as to the events that unfold.
The best laughs come when the film is being gleefully demented and even when it veers off path something interesting happens, like any good road trip, and every new venture comes with an odd and questionable character to guide them through. The initial meeting with the aforementioned Bear Raper sets the tone as the two leads are clearly way out of their comfort zone. The resulting death montage performed on Joe serves as a peak midpoint that leads to an impactful finale for them. Darkly funny, CAN'T KILL THIS is one for the weirdos.
